QL Egg Mummy Pizza

Makes: 15 - 20 pizzas

Ingredients

For dough
1 cupwater
2 ¼ tspactive dry yeast
1 tspsugar
3 ½ cupflour
1 ½ salt
3 tbspolive oil
1QL Omega Egg yolk
1QL Omega Egg for egg wash
For sauce and topping
40 pcspepperoni
40 gshredded cheddar cheese
1 cuppizza sauce
2 tspmix herb
4cheddar slices
2seedless black olives
shredded cheese to sprinkle

Method

  1. To make pizza dough, lightly coat a large bowl with olive oil and set aside.
  2. Combine water, yeast and sugar in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Combine the flour minus 2 tbsp of flour with salt in the large bowl coated with olive oil. Stir in the yeast mixture, olive oil and QL Egg Omega yolk. Mix until a soft dough is formed.
  4. Transfer the dough into a lightly floured surface and knead in the remaining flour until the dough is smooth and elastic. It takes about 10 minutes.
  5. Shape the dough into a ball and transfer into a bowl. Cover closely and let it rise in warm temperature until the dough doubles in size. Remove dough from bowl and punch it down to release air out from the dough.
  6. Divide the dough into 4 and roll out flat to a thickness of ½ cm. Then, cut into 3.5 inch round shape by cutter. Repeat for 2nd flat dough. Cut the remaining 2 doughs into thin strips.
  7. Spread some pizza sauce on the round shape dough, top with 2 slices of pepperoni and sprinkle some shredded cheese on it.
  8. Arrange the thin strips across one another to resemble a mummy on top and press down carefully at the sides.
  9. Brush the dough with egg wash and bake in preheat oven at 200°C for 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. Using a small cutter, cut the shape of the eyes on the cheddar slices and top with small olive bits as the eyeball. Place on the pizza once it is out of the oven.
