Shell Snacks (Kuih Siput)

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Makes: 2-3 containers


250 gflour
70 gmargarine
½ tspfennel powder
1 tspcoriander powder
½ tspcumin powder
1 tspcurry powder
1 tbspdried shrimps, grounded
1QL Omega egg
2 stalkscurry leaves
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
Salt to taste
2 tbspcold water
Oil for frying


  1. In a bowl, mix together fennel powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, curry powder, salt, dried shrimps and flour.
  2. Add in QL Omega Egg and margarine into the flour mixture. Mix well.
  3. Knead the mixture evenly until dough is formed. Add in the cold water.
  4. Pinch a bit of the dough and press against the 'kuih siput' board.
  5. Roll out the dough on the board and remove it.
  6. Fry 'kuih siput' with some curry leaves, garlic slices at medium heat until golden brown.
  7. Set aside to cool then store in an airtight container.
