Curry flavoured crispy crab sticks are finger licking good.
This spiced snack is well-suited to those who prefer local flavours and great for serving on social occasions.

Ingredients
600 g | MUSHROOM brand Fried Crab Sticks, thawed (10 sticks) |

220 g | margarine |
2 cloves | garlic, finely chopped |
6 pieces | curry leaves, whole |
2 pieces | curry leaves, chopped finely |
15 g | dried shrimp, chopped |
2 tbsp | curry powder |
15 g | fennel powder (serbuk jintan manis) |
15 g | cumin powder (serbuk jinttan putih) |
Salt to taste | |
Oil for deep frying |
Method
- Cut the crab sticks into about 2cm lengths. Unroll them and slice them into thin, even strips. Set aside.
- Heat the margarine in a pan until melted and sauté the garlic and curry leaves until fragrant. Add the dried shrimp, curry powder, fennel powder, cumin powder and salt. Sauté for another minute.
- Stir in the MUSHROOM brand Fried Crab Sticks and toss to coat.
- Heat oil in a frying pan, deep fry the curried crab sticks on medium heat until golden. Cool and store in an air-tight container.
